MoMe selects Quortex to underpin the launch of Spain’s first CDN service for streaming

London and Madrid, March 3, 2026 - Quortex and MoMe, a leading Spanish consultancy and systems integrator, today announced the launch of Spain’s first streaming-optimised CDN service, powered by Edge.

Developed and operated using Spanish engineering expertise and infrastructure in Spain, MoMe’s service, available from today, is the country’s first CDN service that is built for streaming. Using Edge, MoMe ensures the delivery of high quality, low latency video as well as providing control across the entire delivery network. The service is designed to meet the regulatory, operational and performance requirements of broadcasters and media service providers operating in Spain and the wider European market.

By deploying Quortex’s private CDN, MoMe’s CDN service provides broadcasters and OTT platforms with high-performance, scalable delivery, without the complexity, rigidity or cost of global, multi-purpose CDNs optimised for general internet traffic. Instead, MoMe’s solution is purpose-built for video streaming and provides full visibility across the delivery chain, from origin to the viewer.

Edge provides monitoring of the entire content delivery network, providing visibility into the quality of service and the viewers’ quality of experience, allowing MoMe to meet customers’ requirements for performance and predictable costs, while offering enterprise-grade reliability and security. This security framework is aligned with industry best practices and European data protection and security standards, ensuring a robust and trusted service for mission-critical video delivery.

MoMe’s service is architected with edge locations close to end users to ensure low latency and high reliability, even over the last mile.

Edge has been deployed across eight data centres in Spain and is integrated directly in the streaming workflow. By also being able to bring together Quortex’s content processing technologies including ingesting, encoding, and packaging closer to the edge of the network, MoMe enhances performance while maintaining full operational control. Customers benefit by having a single provider responsible for end-to-end delivery, rather than dealing with multiple vendors, which simplifies operations and strengthens service accountability.

MoMe will offer the new service through its subsidiary, Argos Technology Services. It will also offer multi-CDN delivery services outside Spain including integration with Switch.

Jaime Herbada, Chief Operating Officer at MoMe, said, “Large CDNs designed for global, multi-purpose traffic are not optimised for streaming use cases and customers lose visibility of their content. By combining Quortex’s private CDN technology with Spanish infrastructure and our deep technical expertise, we are launching a secure, robust and streaming-optimised CDNaaS that gives our customers clear visibility and actionable insights into quality of service and quality of experience. This is a major milestone for the Spanish media industry and a strong foundation for expansion across Europe.”

Elke Hungenaert, VP of Product, Quortex, commented, “MoMe’s new CDN service demonstrates the growing demand for greater control, visibility and predictability in video delivery. By combining MoMe’s deep local market expertise with Quortex’s private CDN technology, this is setting a new benchmark for video streaming focused CDN services. We anticipate this model to be replicated by partners in other countries.”

Edge is an agile content delivery solution that enables full visibility and control over streaming video traffic. Its AI-based traffic prediction offers the ability to scale up from 500Gbps to 5+ Tbps which is critical for uninterrupted delivery of live content including sports.
